About Lois
Lake Superior and the beautiful hillside community of Bayfield called our name. In summer 1974, my husband and I set out to visit a friend who had discovered this corner of northern Wisconsin. On the journey from Washington, D. C., we decided if we could find employment and a place to live we would consider making Bayfield our home. During our four-day visit we were so taken with the area’s natural beauty and spirit of the community we abbreviated our requirements. We found a place to live. With youthful optimism we agreed to take a leap of faith, confident that our various talents and college degrees would lead to satisfying employment.
We have been blessed with the opportunity to raise a family here and to be part of a special community. I’ve grown through my multiple (and sometimes overlapping) careers as librarian, marketing director for Wisconsin’s first bed and breakfast inn, college fundraiser, and a founder of a community foundation.
On turning fifty years old, I began my own search for ‘what’s next’ and learned about life coaching. I discovered first-hand the positive impact it can have. Coaching honors my values of continual learning and allows me to help people realize their potential. I completed my training with the Coaches Training Institute in 2004 and pursued another nine month intensive journey to become a Certified Professional Co-Active Coach.
I’m an avid walker, an aspiring biker, and I enjoy travel, adventure and gardening. I serve on the Minnesota Coaches Association Board of Directors, the Bayfield Chamber of Commerce Board and volunteer for a number of area non profit organizations.
Helping professionals, leaders, and creative souls discover their true passion and potential in the second half of life.
